  1. I want time to eat and sleep before anthropology class! Woo hoo!! I think the additional bases are supposed to be after the stop codon at the end, not before though.

  2. yeah you got it, and i think your suppose to add additional bases to the start and stop condon, jus so it gets a little challenging? not sure but thats what i got out of the instructions.

  3. Good job on the decode, and the coding was nearly perfect except for a couple of point mutations in your stop codon, Christian.

In your DNA molecule, coding for the "stop", where it should be ATC, you instead have ACT. So the RNA ends up being UGA instead of UAG, which is the stop codon.

Here is my decode with notes:

    DNA: TTATGCTACCAAGGGTATAACGTCAGTGTAACATTGTCTACTGGTACATG
RNA: AAUACG AUG GUU CCC AUA UUG CAG UCA CAU UGU AAC AGA UGA CCA UGU AC

(AUG) GUU CCC AUA UUG CAG UCA CAU UGU AAC AGA UGA CCA UGU AC
(start) I want time to eat and sleep before anthropology class it sit before
Should the “UGA” in the 12th RNA triplet be “UAG” for a stop codon in the RNA line?

Otherwise, great job to both of you.
